EU AI Act FAQ

The EU AI Act is the world's first comprehensive legal framework for artificial intelligence. It establishes requirements for AI systems based on their risk level, with stricter requirements for high-risk applications. It affects any organization deploying AI systems that impact EU citizens.

If you deploy AI systems that affect EU citizens or operate within the EU, the Act likely applies to you. This includes organizations headquartered outside the EU if their AI systems are used by EU citizens.

Penalties can be severe: up to €35 million or 7% of global annual turnover for prohibited AI practices, up to €15 million or 3% of turnover for other violations, and up to €7.5 million or 1% of turnover for supplying incorrect information.

Coretex Axiom is built with EU AI Act requirements in mind. We provide transparency documentation, human oversight mechanisms, complete audit trails, data governance controls, and risk management features that help demonstrate compliance.

For high-risk applications, Coretex Axiom provides the technical capabilities needed for compliance: risk management systems, data quality controls, technical documentation, logging and traceability, human oversight tools, and accuracy/robustness measures.
